NGO Activities in Andhra Pradesh

We have been implementing different development developmental activities for the downtrodden sections to the society in collaboration with various philanthropic agencies and individuals. Project description / schemes implemented by the HELO , NGO in Andhra Pradesh with the support of Donor/ Funding Agencies, central & State Government Departments and Individual philanthropists (as on 31st March 2013):


Change Republic, Mumbai Providing groceries to the old age women
Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF ) , Govt. of India , New Delhi • Conducted Sensitization campaign on climate change for the women, farmers, youth, children, elderly persons.
• Organized environmental awareness campaign on bio-diversity conservation program to the rural masses in Kurnool District.
• Tree plantation has been organized with the school children and orphans, semi orphan children.
National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development NABARD, Govt. of India Undertaking , Hyderabad • Conducted Skill Development initiative on Computer Software to the educated rural unemployed poor youth to enable them to get employment in IT industries to increase economic livelihoods among them.
• Skill Development training in Zari Work program conducted for the semi-skilled Self Help Group Women belongs to rural areas to empower women in the fields of economic development and to lead independent life in the community.
National University of educational planning & Administration NUEPA, Govt. of India, New Delhi • Organized National level Seminar on Right to Education Act: The Way Forward to the NGOs, Teacher Federations, Educationalists, Officials from the Government Departments, Women Rights Activities , Non Governmental Organizations, Voluntary Organizations, Trusts, SHG Women, youth to design the recommendations to the Government of India to amendment in the Educational Policies.
Investor Education & Protection Fund (IEPF), Ministry of Corporate Affairs • Organized two one day seminars on Investor ‘s to the investors from jewelers Shops, Cloth Merchants, Ration dealers, Medical Agencies and also involved NGOs, Non Governmental Organizations for better campaigns about the share market , gold investments, beware from the fraud alerts, etc.
Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB), Govt. of AP, Kurnool • Environmental Awareness Campaign to the automobile workers and users involving resource persons from RTO officials, Transport Department and also involved non-profits, voluntary organizations, charity organizations and planted the trees to reduce the environment pollution. The IEC material was propagated among the communities to protect the environment.
• Organized Bio-Medical Waste sensitization program to the nursing college students from the nursing colleges in Kurnool, Anantapur Districts
AP Social Welfare Board, Hyderabad • Conducted Awareness Generation Program for Rural Women on Gender Equality, how-to-get-the-benefits from the government, SHG schemes & Subsidy, income generation programs, economic empowerment, domestic violence, atrocities on dalits, female feoticide, ratio, women rights, women development.

OSSTF, Canada • Conducted Para Education Programme for 150 children studying 10th standard in 3 Government schools to build communication skills , personality development and other soft skills that are essential in this competitive world
Andhra Pradesh Council of Science & Technology (APCOST), Govt. of AP, Hyderabad • Conducted PC & PNDT Sensitization program with the involvement of Medical Exports, NGOs, Voluntary Organizations in Kurnool, Nandyal, Adoni Revenue divisions
• Science Behind the Miracles cultural show in the remote rural village, the women, youth, farmers participated in this program
• Food Safety & Quality Control of Drugs & Integrated Development Health Activities program conducted in 30 villages of Kurnool District
• Baseline Survey of Natural & Human resources program conducted in Kodumur Mandal of Kurnool District
• Environmental Protection Awareness campaign & Tree Plantation in the slums of urban areas
• Water Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) activities for the slum dwellers, rural masses by involving non profits, Non Governmental Organizations, Trusts
• Integrated Rural Energy Program (Biogas plant, LED-SOLAR LIGHTS distribution & Workshop, LPG Gas Stove Training in Pandurangapuram village, which got gram puraskar award from Govt. of India
National Commission for women (NCW) , Govt. of India , New Delhi • Conducted Legal Awareness Programme for Women to impart legal awareness to women andgirls on their rights including human rights. To sensitize the women on their role & status in the community. To create awareness among women on their entitlements
• The destitute, dalit, window, economically disadvantaged single women were enlightened in the legal awareness prgrams on gender equality, domestic violence, atrocities on dalits, ualhaeassment at work place, DV act laws and procedures, dowry deaths, harassments etc
National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) , Pune • Organized Naturopathy awareness programs for rural poor women on mud therapy, nature cure activities, yoga activities, how to prepare madicines from the nature and its advantages.
Digimaker India Pvt. Limited, Bangalore • Provided sewing machines to the economically disadvantaged destitute women to empower them in the economic development. And also provided marketing skills, skill development training in tailoring & embroidery.
Wakeham Trust , UK • Provided income generation program to the rural unemployed skilled women in bricks making technology to enable them to increase their livelihoods.
Asmita Resource Centre for Services Pvt. Ltd, Hyderbad • Conducted workshop on legal rights, human rights to the divorced women, single women, dalit windows. Poor Women, destitute women to enlighten them about the their rights & entitlements.
Kiriti Consulting Services Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad • Conducted Medical Health Camps in remote rural villages belongs to tribals to improve their health conditions with the support of Medical Experts, PHC Doctors, Para Medical Staff
