Legal awareness program for women: HELO conducts legal literacy camps and awareness programs for dalit, minority & backward women. At these events, we distribute booklets on women rights, legal protection and court systems.
HELO program has educated women on various legal provisions while approaching the Police Stations and Courts including lok Adalat and Family Counseling Centres.
They are now aware of various Acts like Dowry Act, Domestic Violence Act, Labor Act, Minimum Wage Act, Child Marriage Act and Laws like Hindu Law, Muslim Law, etc. They are also aware of women – related issues such health and reproduction.
Awareness has given the women has confidence to fight against atrocities.
